Get an overview about the project outputs and related knowledge
Various dike or levee failure mechanisms are related to the subsoil which shows a great spatial heterogeneity. A better understanding of this heterogeneity and how it affect the failure mechanisms will result in better risk estimates and more optimal designs.
As a team, the projects below try to improve the modeling of the subsoil heterogeneity based on geological processes and measurements, as well as geophysical measurements.
